Exchange of Experiences in Existing Building Maintenance and Renovation with the Greater Bay Area on 23/08/2025

On August 23, 2025, the 'Experience Exchange Seminar on Existing Building Renovation' was successfully co-organized by the Hong Kong Concrete Repair and Waterproofing Association (HKCRWA), the Greater Bay Area Waterproofing Industry Alliance, and Zhuobao Technology Group.
The event featured a practical exchange of waterproofing techniques between Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, with participants sharing industry technologies and methods for leak detection. The seminar proved to be immensely valuable, and all attendees benefited greatly.

On that day, the event brought together numerous distinguished guests. It commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Wong Yun Ming, President of our association. Professor Qu Peihua, President of the "Shenzhen Waterproof Industry Association"; Mr. Xian Yongbiao, Resident Vice President of the "China Building Waterproof Association"; and Mr. Li Mingyang, Vice President of "Shenzhen Zhuobao Technology Co., Ltd.", along with other leaders, attended and participated in the exchange session.

The event also invited Mr. Cai Yunzhi, Technical Consultant of our association, to share insights on "Building Repair Technology and Market Applications," and Dr. Chen Xu, Engineer, President of the "Building Engineering Surveying Branch of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers," to share on "Water Infiltration Investigation Mechanisms and Detection Methods." The presentations were exceptionally insightful and of immense value.

That afternoon, representatives from both regions participated in a practical exchange on waterproofing applications. This featured live on-site demonstrations of two key construction techniques: "Polyurethane (PU) Grouting" (commonly known as "Injection") and "Self-adhesive Waterproofing Membrane" (commonly known as "Peel-and-Stick" membrane).

As the event drew to a close, the leaders took turns sharing their reflections. All participants expressed that the day's activities were highly enriching and packed with specialized knowledge. They particularly highlighted the waterproofing technique demonstration segment as exceptionally impressive! The exchange between the two regions helped elevate the professional expertise of both sides. To promote high-quality development in the waterproofing industry, it is our shared aspiration to strive collectively toward this common goal.
