39th Anniversary Dinner of the Hong Kong Concrete Repair and Waterproofing Association

On the evening of September 30, 2025, the 39th Anniversary Dinner of the Hong Kong Concrete Repair and Waterproofing Association kicked off in a lively atmosphere. Industry leaders including the Association's President Wong Yun Ming , Secretary-General Zhu Dongqing of the China Building Waterproofing Association, President Qu Peihua of the Shenzhen Waterproofing Association, and Chairman Wang Zongsheng of the Macau Association of Concrete Inspection, Maintenance and Waterproofing , alongside distinguished guests such as the Association's Honorary Advisor Mr. Au Chio Kai (Surveyor, SBS, Former Director of Buildings), Advisor Dr. Hon Lo Wai Kwok (PhD, Engineer, GBS, MH, JP), Legislative Council Member Hon Chan Han Pan (BBS, JP), Mr. Lai Chi Wai (Senior Manager, Registration Affairs) of the Construction Industry Council, Former Tsuen Wan District Council Member Mr. Law Siu Kit (MH, JP), and Mr. Li Kai Yuan, Chairman of the Contractor's Authorized Signatory Association Ltd, gathered with hundreds of industry experts from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau, and Taiwan to witness this significant moment.







President of the Hong Kong Concrete Repair and Waterproofing Association, Mr  Wong Yun Ming, delivered a welcome speech. Since taking office, he has been committed to advancing the professional standards of the industry, strengthening professional certification in the fields of concrete and waterproofing. The goal is to nurture more new talents to join the industry, attract cross-disciplinary attention, and gather more professional talents from the engineering sector!

Looking ahead, we will continue to strive to enhance the recognition of concrete repair and waterproofing professions, attracting more aspiring young people to join the industry! We also wish the Association even more brilliant achievements in the future, building a stronger professional team, working together hand in hand to reach new heights! Let us uphold the spirit of professional self-discipline! Growing stronger and better with each step!


Mr. Stanley Luk, Vice President of the Hong Kong Concrete Repair and Waterproofing Association, introduced the association's development. He is dedicated to promoting the professional recognition of the industry and enhancing certification within the concrete and waterproofing sectors. The goal is to train more new talents to join the industry, attract attention from various other sectors, and gather more professionals from the engineering field!

This year, the association has organized multiple meaningful events and numerous professional lectures focused on sustainable development. In the future, it will continue to offer courses and seminars, hoping to spark a strong interest in waterproofing technology among the younger generation from diverse backgrounds. This will not only inject new vitality into the industry but also strengthen our resolve to persistently advance technical training and professional exchange.

The dinner venue not only featured an exhibition but also hosted a variety of performances. These included sharing sessions by various professionals and organizations, a saxophone performance by Dr. Lo Wai Kwok, Legislative Council Member (Engineering Functional Constituency), and a singing performance by former Director of Buildings, Surveyor Au Chui Kai, SBS. The event also included a lucky draw, creating a lively atmosphere that energized the entire venue.





The successful hosting of this anniversary dinner is made possible by the strong support of the invited guests, including the Construction Industry Council, presidents of collaborating institutions and associations, various professors, advisors, committee members, members, and friends and guests from various industries. The association will continue to foster a spirit of collaboration, striving to make greater contributions to the advancement of the industry and the progress of society. We are committed to promoting professional certification in concrete repair and waterproofing in Hong Kong and attracting more young people who are interested or intend to develop in this field. With a larger professional team, we will work together and leverage our strengths! It is believed that under the association's leadership, Hong Kong's concrete repair and waterproofing industry will continue to move toward higher quality and greater professionalism, providing a more solid foundation for the safety and durability of Hong Kong's buildings.
